I really appreciate the concerns, I see it as good feedback that will enable us to efficiently and effectively implement The Adwumawura Programme.
However, please indulge me to provide some clarity on some of the concerns raised.
First of all, The Adwumawura Programme isn’t solely about funding—we have been clear on this since the launch of the Programme.
The programme seeks to provide a series of activities to build the capacity of at least 10,000 youth-owned businesses in annually.
We have successfully gone through 5 weeks of comprehensive intensive entrepreneurship training across the country.
The training partners and innovation hubs are providing continuous mentorship to all beneficiaries interested in mentorship for six months.
The training partners have been engaged to ensure all beneficiaries refine their business plans to be submitted to NEIP.
An independent Grant Management committee will be inaugurated soon to assess these business plans, and make recommendations for funding.
Additionally, based on an MOU with the Ministry of Agriculture to collaborate on the “Nkokonketee program “we have communicated to the training partners to compile the list of all beneficiaries who are interested in the ” Nkokonketee ” so we can provide them with the birds and feeding for their poultry farms.
We are yet to receive the complete list from all training partners and innovation hubs of Adwumawura beneficiaries interested in the “Nkokonketee”
Again, we will be supporting ideation businesses with registration of business at the Office of the Registrar of Companies, facilitating the acquisition of license from Food and Drugs Authority, Ghana Standard Authority, Ghana Export Promotion Center, and other business development services to youth-owned businesses that needs these certification.
Let me assure you all once again of our commitment, dedication and determination to supporting your businesses.
For now, please ensure your business plans have been duly submitted to your training partner, and ready yourself to pitch your idea before the Grant Disbursement committee.
See you at the next Adumawura programme business development activity.
Thank you.
