I was privileged to join His Excellency John Dramani Mahama today on his working visit to the western region.
The president reaffirmed that the Western Region will receive development commensurate with its immense contribution to the nation’s economy.
The president underscored this commitment by inspecting the abandoned site for the new Western Regional Hospital at Apemanim, bringing a sense of hope and urgency to a long-stalled project.
It was reassuring to hear his firm pledge that the NDC government will complete this critical hospital within 18 months.
His visit also included an assessment of the ongoing works at the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital.
Finally, His Excellency cut the sod for the major dualisation of the Takoradi to Cape Coast Highway.
This transformative project is designed to boost connectivity, enhance road safety, and stimulate trade and economic activity along this vital corridor.
