Sheik Arimeyaw Urges Youth to Resist Monetization of Politics, Promotes Peaceful Elections

The spokesperson for the National Chief Imam, Sheik Arimeyaw, has urged the youth to reject the monetization of the political process, emphasizing that voting is a sacred trust that should not be sold cheaply. “When politicians buy your vote, they buy your conscience and sovereignty, which is a holy trust in our hands,” he stated. “It cannot be sold to any person or political leader, regardless of their party affiliation.”

Sheik Arimeyaw warned that politicians who use money to buy votes initiate citizens into a life of corruption, leading to dishonest leadership. He encouraged the youth to prioritize the nation’s interests and avoid being incited into violence by politicians. “Be focused, know your future, be patriotic, law-abiding, and responsible,” he advised.

As the December 7 elections approach, Sheik Arimeyaw expressed concern about potential violence.
